While going green is an overall positive thing to do

sometimes you gotta be careful about how you do it. I certainly do not recommend the list of these "smart", "green" gadgets listed by The Businees Insider.

This clock maybe running on lemon juice and water, which sounds pretty neat, however you have to empty and refill that device every six weeks for saving very minute amount of energy compared to the rest of the home appliances that we use everyday. Oh and did I mention this clock doesn't even have an alarm! Now, I'm not a heavy sleeper, but I do know for an obvious fact that there some real deep sleepers out there somewhere. Anyways, if you REALLY need an alarm that comes with this gadget ... you're going to have to pay 29 bucks. :P

From now on, any picture I post; I'll give the link to those pictures ...

and you can search for it and quickly/eventually found the picture I was using.

Ummmmm ... yeah.

Twitter updates are messed up once again. I really do not know how to fix the problem other than let time do its trick. :/

P.S. This may happen in the future even if the twitter updates are working properly again ...

Bernanke thinks it's too soon to assume the recovery of our economy ...

is going to remain intact. While the employment rate is going the down, the rate we are looking forward to is not too desirable. What will happen to the USA's economy in the near future in his perspective is shown right here! :P

Obama is sending Stephen Bosworth to North Korea ...

to ease the tension between North Korea and the USA. It's about talking about disarming their dangerous weapons, particularly the nuclear ones. The reason North Korea wants to keep their nuclear weapons is to combat the US military forces that is in South Korea. The U.N. tried to talk do some peace talking, but they refused to speak this matter and left their meeting. At the end of the article, it says that he will then continue his trip by going to Seoul before traveling to Beijing, Tokyo and etc.

While this video may not be 100% related to our national debt in the USA ...

it just shows you the true potential of one trillion dollars.

The debt is just getting worse and worse and it doesn't look like America can turn the tables around and finally get out of this deep downward spiral. Not too long ago, the billboard that shows our total national debt had to drop another digit when it hit 10 trillion dollars as shown below.

According to scientists, when 1/1/2010 is finally here; ...

this decade will be the warmest out of the all decades recorded. It will only get worse as one year passes by another and even if we halt all the emissions around the world. The worldwide emissions will still warm our planet regardless. So the best thing we can do is slow it down and not increase the rate of this potentially dangerous disaster in the future. Some islands are starting to shrink and being consumed by the ocean around them such as the small islands of Papua New Guinea.

Looks like the USA is now focusing their military forces ...

on Afghanistan instead of Iraq. In the next year or so, about 30,000-35,0000 troops along with 10000 trainers would be considered to be sent there by President Barack Obama. Even though 68,000 soldiers is plenty, they think they need more in order to weaken the Afghan forces. The public obviously doesn't favor this decision nor does the democratic lawmakers.

The one who was shooting out of nowhere in Washington DC ...

and other places like Virginia and Maryland is going to be executed today on November 10, 2009. He was responsible for killing 10 people, injuring a couple more, and putting many US citizens into great fear.

P.S. His name is john allen muhammad for those of you who are curious.

Most, if not all of you have heard the sad and tragic event ...

that happened in Fort Hood, Texas. It happened last Thursday afternoon where the shooting occurred and thirteen people died. Barack Obama today is going to tell who the unfortunate victims were and the depressing story.

Tropical storm Ida hits Southern USA today.

The storm caused a power outage, shutting down about a third of natural gas production, and along with minor damage. Most people say it wasn't TOO bad compared to the other storms/hurricanes that have experienced in the past. However it caused many indirect deaths in El Savador from flooding and landslides, back then when Ida had hurricane status.

Germany is celebrating its 20th anniversary of the fall of Berlin Wall!

As you can tell, it's a pretty huge celebration for them. Twenty years of not only the fall of the Berlin Wall, but also the union of West and East Germany. You can find more pictures of this fabulous celebration in this slide show.

Yes, the employment rates are fairly high for the USA ...

but the good news is that the number of burglaries have been reduced. Because more people are staying in their home watching their own belongings. Makes sense if you ask me.

More useful and information in the link above.

Some states are lying to their students when it comes to ...

STAR tests. In other words, they're setting the standards too low and Duncan thinks it should be raised. Remember we need to prepare the students with honesty before they go out and explore on their own. Because the USA will depend on them as time goes on.

The Bay Bridge says,"I'm getting too old for this job ...

I need someone to replace my job ... which is the one right next to me!" This week one of the cables fell on the bridge, which increased the amount of traffic. So they have to close it down, repair the damage that has been done, and hopefully reopen the bridge by tomorrow. As you can tell BART will get some decent attention until the bridge is fixed.

An asteroid has crashed on a land mass ...

Which happened on early October. I believe the chance of that happening is about 30%, theoretically. Moving on, it landed on Indonesia and this space rock is one of the biggest objects that crashed on Earth from space since 1994. This asteroid is named 8TA9D69 by NASA. It's common for space objects to named by a code consisting of numbers and letters. There were secret satellites that observed the meteorite, but that won't be released to the public until further notice.

P.S. Sorry that it's not in English, but it gives you a better glimpse on what happened on that day.

Obama makes a solid salute to those who have fall in Afghanistan.

Eighteen proud soldiers past away in Afghanistan and are returned to the USA to be honored by the elites/captains and President Barack Obama. He is planning to send more troops off into combat in the future.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Barck Obama maybe the first president to visit ...

the cities that was once been hit by atomic bombs. He's planning to pay a visit to Tokyo in the next month for two days, just for a stop. By taking a first glance, this sounds like one of the steps for a more peaceful world. However the White House may have said otherwise and some people from the public oppose this decision.

No more BigMacs in Iceland!

The three McDonals on this icy island will close down sometime this weekend. Because the BigMac is now approximately $5.29 in US currency! Very expensive indeed and now they need to raise it to about a buck. This is due to the high import tariffs and the deteriorating currency of krona.

Gas prices are on the rise once again!

The cost of crude oil(as shown to the left) we depend on tremendously is getting higher. Remember when there is less demand for oil, the production goes down, which raises its value, because there's less resources of it!

Bark Beetles only harm the trees that are weakened or too old ...

however with so little rain in July most, if not, all the trees in the forests of Mexico are being infested by these pests. The loggers are rushing to cut as much as 9000 wounded fir trees before the monarch butterflies arrive on late October.

The national debt is so MASSIVE with an astounding ...

$1.42 trillion!!! President Obama made a pledge to lower it after all those recessions and the unemployment rate has toned down. The nation is worried that may no longer have the power to deal with that kind of debt, if this situation grows more sour.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

No idea how, but my Twitter updates are messed up.

Attempted to fix it, but it didn't work. :(

Update: All right, the twitter updates are working now! :D

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Dow finally reaches 10,000 and that has not happened for more than a year!

On Wednesday, October 14, 2009, when Dow hits 10000; the traders cheered and were delighted to see that number once again. However, they still need to be cautious about their economic future as time goes on.

Friday, October 9, 2009

This is one of the reasons why we need to increase the security ...

of the border between the USA and Mexico!

Not 100% sure if this is staged. But I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Will Android be more popular than the iPhone 2012?

Find out ... right after this commercial!!! :P

No just kidding, anyways back to serious business. Researchers at Gartner predict the Androids from Google will leapfrog over the iphones in about two years. More details after I'm done eating my sausages. :D

About 40000 troops at mininum will be headed ...

to Afghanistan which is told by the top commander of U.S. military forces to president Barack Obama. More information on the video below.

People are starting to approve of Obama's job as ...

the president of the United States of America. People who approve him jumped from 50% to 56% and those who says otherwise dropped 11% from 50% to 39%. That took about a month from September to October. Democrats are not sure and are divided on supporting Barack Obama.

Since the education in California isn't too great ...

I thought I could post an article about tips on how to become a better parent education wise.

P.S. This is leaning more towards to parents who have elementary kids. But it's still a good article to read in my opinion. :)

Who knows, soon you might not actually see a dollar menu ...

in McDonalds. In other words, the one dollar bill is getting weaker and weaker. Which causes inflation to rise, not as bad as Germany in the early 1920's, but it's getting more noticeable. If this doesn't sustain itself, we could see much higher interest rates and paying off that gigantic debt will just be so much more painful.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

NASA is going to bomb the moon on Friday ...

Well ... I wouldn't really say bomb, since they're not using an explosive on it. It's just a projectile launched at twice the speed of a bullet. Then it will disperse quite a lot of debris where the satelite will try to capture to see if there's any water in them.

These 10 retialers are gaining strength from those recessions.

With relatively low debt or careful management, these companies were able to satisfy the customers that want to save money. If the economy starts getting better, they may be ahead of the game.

Not everything is bright though, employment rates are still rising and some shopping malls may meet their end like Circuit City or Mervyn's did.

Monday, October 5, 2009

Sorry Chicago, but the Olympics of 2016 will be held on ...

none other than Rio de Janeiro. Chicago was eliminated in the first round, which was quite shocking. Obama was pretty much not content to see this happening.

Oh and because with the high crime and murder rates there, security will be one of the biggest issues to deal with.

A major earthquake strikes again ...

near the islands of Indonesia. This caused major destruction and a considerable death toll. More details in the link.

P.S. According to the article, this earthquake is NOT related to the one that happened on Tuesday.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

A tsunami has struck near American Samoa ...

more than ten people died during the disaster. The earthquake's magnitude is about 8.3 and residents flee to higher grounds to avoid the wrath of an incoming tsunami.

Since a lot of people like saving money ...

I thought I share a link that's below in the short paragraph.

So be careful you're making transactions, whether if it's from one credit card to another or simply getting your money from another competitor. Because hidden fees are not fun dealing with. They can be pretty large when not taken care of.

P.S. Yeah ... as you can tell the link is fairly long.

Monday, September 28, 2009

I hate smoking ...

They're a bane of my life and I wish it was never invented! The toxicity and its awful smell just make me want to puke. D:

Being obese is more deadly than you think ...

Other than you have to buy bigger clothes or using more energy when walking from one place to another, it also increases the risk of having cancer. It has something to do with your hormones, the link below talks about how and along with some useful information.

P.S. So think twice or even thrice when satisfying your thirst with soda!

Companies that are about to become bankrupt.

These 10 companies are getting into some serious financial problems in the future. Will they be along with companies already bankrupt like Circuit City or will they get back on their feet?

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Copyrights on Youtube are getting very irratating to deal with!

With lots of videos being removed/muted, Youtube is starting to lose popularity. I mean as long as you don't make copies of one song and sell them or claim this song is yours, I think it should be fine to use them in your videos. Some of the videos were removed/muted, even though the song is not theirs! So here are two videos that attempt to fight against these copyright nonsense.

Good-bye summer ...

Yep, today is the first day of Autumn/Fall. That means the temperatures should cool down, which should result in weaker hurricanes. Thus reducing our spending for the damage done by hurricanes in the USA.

Like he said, you only get to play this game ONCE!

His name is Greg Craven, which is in the description of the video. A simple chart, yet it has meaning into it.

I'm melting!!!

These pictures were seven years ago, by the way. This takes place on the coast of Antartica.

Ads are so annoying.

I know they make a lot of money for TV shows, but it's still a pain to deal with them.

P.S. I suggest you mute them. :D

World Population is near seven billion people! :O

That's a lot of people. o_O

How are we going to deal with this many people? Our planet is running out of space as we are running out of time to fix this problem.

Disney bought Marvel on August 31, 2009.

Let's hope the two universes don't mix together. I'm pretty sure Disney is smart enough not to change their cartoons/comics and what not.

Here's the link below.

If I bought something that costed $20.00 in 1959 ...

which is 50 years ago. Then it would cost about $148.01! That's approxiamately 640% increase! :O

Here is the calculator below.

http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/

Just make sure it's between 1913 to 2009.
