Pros and Cons of Democrats

Democrats are more active than Republicans from my view. They want the government to take more control over the economy and put limitations on those powerful corporations. Which is a good thing or else how would we get out of the 2009 financial crisis without the help of the government? However some companies grew way too powerful for the government to handle with like the oil companies. Though they won't be here very long for a relatively short amount of time. Another good characteristic is that they want to change America whether it's economically or environmentally. One obvious change was the health care plan that was passed not too long ago, though there are some issues with it like how we don't have a choice but to buy health insurance. Finally, they are more focused on helping the people rather than the corporations.

When it comes to achieving your goals, sometimes you have to contradict your beliefs and interests. That's what Obama did when a lobbyist from the health insurance corporation when he made a deal with him by not raising the prices of medicine, they will support this bill. Right there, they were helping the corporations instead of the people of the USA. They also want to raise taxes on the people and the companies, which is actually a good thing for the economy. However they will lose their good reputation, so that's one more thing the US citizens don't like about the democrats.
