These enrichment toys such as dog ropes allow the cats/dogs to have fun while stimulating their mind along with providing physical activity. Dog ropes wasn't the only pet toy in the house, we also made pillows, balls that were attached to a string, and caterpillars. Before we did that though, we waited for most of the people to come here, we introduced ourselves (I saw a couple Acalanes students there, by the way.) and the kind of pets we have, and then we got to know the birth of ARF. After that, we all made dog ropes out of fabric by tying it like the braids you see on some girls. We also turned on some animal related music and that was fine with me. Oh and we had a tour around ARF and showed us some of the stuff inside the facility like pet kitchens that contain peanut butter and cat/dog treats and there was also a building where there were people who trained their content dogs for the contests. So around noon we stopped what we were doing and had a lunch break. I should have brought my own lunch instead of cash, which I hardly ever do nowadays. Because their main focus is on saving cats and dogs; not providing food service. What was I thinking? -_-
Once the lunch break is over, we head back and I believed we are now making pillows which is also composed of fabric with soft white stuffings. This pillow took like 2-3 hours to finish, because one I tend to be on he slow side and two is that I had to make many adjustments to make sure the stuffings don't escape from the inside of the pillow. After the pillow was completed, I went into an office where she would sign off the community service forms. So in the end, thanks to everyone who donated the fabric and helped with building a better home for the pets in ARF and I'll see you next time. All right, see you later.
