In prehistoric times, mother nature was in control of planet Earth, but now ...

we earthlings can simply decide the fate of the earth at our own will. Of course, we're not THAT stupid but still, it's something to be aware of. Animals, particularly the specialist species like giant pandas or koala bears, are very vulnerable if a disaster was to struck. If their food resources are gone, they would simply extinct in a short matter of time. That's why we need to control how many births we're having and how rapidly are we expanding our human society. In my opinion, they have rights just like we do. After all, they claim this piece of land long ago before we did. It's just that the human beings had much more power than the animals in terms of weapons. Of course not all human beings had this perspective, the Indians valued their environment. Most Indians believed that we are small compared to mother earth and we should respect and disturb it as little as possible. However, the colonists think otherwise; the only thing that probably mattered to them is their own prosperity and power. Thankfully, we tweaked that view by putting laws to save endangered animals and creating and preserving wild parks like Yellowstone Park in Colorado.

This is the only planet we can inhibit, I'm afraid ...
